About the Event

Beloved Community means a world free of oppression, discrimination, violence, and bigotry that is fueled instead by friendship, good will, and deep human connection.  We need it now. Let's build it together.

The concept of Beloved Community was popularized by Dr. Martin Luther King , Jr. and is the focus of our keynote presentation by the renowned Chicago-based activist and artist Scheherazade Tillet of A Long Walk Home, Inc. and Move to End Violence. Share Hope 2020 will also highlight true stories of hope and inspiration from our own community and will be hosted by our talented master of ceremonies, Jeff Hoyt. The event will be interpreted in ASL.

Plus, the first 50 ticket buyers will receive a DOVE Pay-It-Forward Box*! Filled with local goodies to enjoy, this reusable box is yours to refill and pass on, keeping the kindness going!

Buy your tickets NOW and help support the DOVE Project's aim to be a catalyst for social change by fostering zero tolerance for interpersonal violence.

*Pay-It-Forward Boxes will be available for pickup on Vashon Island only.
